Starting motor-racing relatively late in life with the notoriously difficult (but fun!) sideways action of Legends cars, Robin champions the ‘last and loving it’ action by always starting with the other ‘Gentlemen’ racers from the back of the pack.
Originally starting with Viscom team-mate Glenn ‘Hard-Man’ Burtenshaw (a true Tarmac Warrior) by sharing a car, Robin so liked Legends racing that he now drives all national rounds in his own Viscom Design sponsored, Smart Motorsport prepared number 77 car. Robin also races karts, Euro-rods, and the annual 2CV 24 hr races at Snetterton and Spa.
When not racing he enjoys diving, motorcycle expeditions, and jumping off hills in the Himalayas (with a para-glider!). Having just turned 40 he would like to find a wife but can’t seem to find one up a mountain or in a desert. His company Vegetarian Shoes sponsors his and Glenn’s cars.
